The ARK Team of the Arusha ProjectThe Arusha Project sees the Unix sysadmin world as full of wonderful "solutions" to various problems, provided by various teams. You assemble your own desired result from all these "solutions", and (if you wish) you make your "solutions" available for others to choose from. There is a core team which provides the language and mechanism for that "assembling" and for that collaboration to work: that team is us, the ARK team! The ARK team is about mechanism, not policy. We say as little as we can about how you go about your sysadminning business. (Our sister team, Sidai, is more opinionated.) (OK, it's a little confusing that `ARK' -- the Arusha airport code -- is used as an abbreviation for the Arusha Project as a whole, and for this specific team... Sorry; life is confusing.) |
